Lindstrom Bakery is back and better than ever. After an exciting remodel, the bakery is once again open to the Chisago Lakes community. We sat down with the owners to learn more about their journey, their popular treats, and their plans for the future.
Lindstrom Bakery, A Local Favorite Since the Late 1800s
Lindstrom Bakery was first opened in the late 1800s by another local family. Known for their fresh baked goods and handmade cakes, the bakery quickly became a staple in the area.
Two years ago, new owners took over with a vision: to create a space where friends and families could gather and make memories.
“We’re thrilled with how the remodel turned out,” they shared. “We hope the community enjoys it as much as we do.”
This remodel has successfully brought a small town sense of community back to our expanding area.
Wondering What to Try First?
The most popular item on the menu is the Honey Lemon Glazed Scandinavian Donut, and for good reason. My pick is always the classic chocolate. They have plenty of options, so you’re guaranteed to find something you like.

“The people,” the owners said. “Small towns bring out the best in others. We’re so grateful to be part of this community.”

“When we bought the business two years ago we envisioned a spot where family and friends can meet up and create special memories together. We are glad to have realized that vision after going through our extensive remodel. We are so thrilled how it turned out and hope the community enjoys it as much as we do!”
What’s Coming Next?
Now that the remodel is complete, the bakery is preparing to launch a new line of breads. Customers can expect more exciting options on the shelves soon.
“We’re still figuring out the final details, but we think people will be excited about what’s coming.”
